Made new friend at lunch!

Duke University

I decided to bike to Duke University today, the great rival of UNC.😉 I thought the stretch of about 18 km wasn't that hard.
Well, it turned out that biking  wasn't that easy after all with the bike of my AirBnB host. The bike is quite old and way to small for me...
And Google Maps navigated me through this major detour but after an hour and 15 min I arrived, sweating like crazy!
So I took a walk through the beautiful Duke Park and had a picknick. I find the campus looks a bit like Hogwarts. The crowd around the area is quite different from the UNC crowd from the way they dress and behave.
Afterwards I had to bike home another 18 km but this time I took a nicer route. Well don't have to go for a jog today. I think 32k is good enough for the day. Especially considering the bike.

Cooking my first gnocci

Yesterday I wanted to make gnocci by myself for the first time based on potatos, flour and egg. After an hour of standing in the kitchen I ended up with this weird creation that looked like something that comes from a lab and the professor shouts: It's alive!
At least my cream sauce was sooo good!

Straight out of Chapel Hill

Botanical gardens

Went to the botcanical gardens last week! There is quite alot to do around here because the University of Chap Hill(UNC) has lots of site. I go over to the University every weekend when I have time because it's the happening place. My dad is an alumni!

So can see they also have a display of my best friend Lars in the gardens!
